I became a piano player as a young boy because I was inspired by the music and energy of Jerry Lee Lewis! In high school I was given one of my greatest compliments as I was kicked off the church camp piano. “You play too much like Jerry Lee Lewis!” That didn’t stop me from believing God had a music purpose for me and I kept rockin’ the ivories. Since then I’ve been a musician who’s played lots of different styles using pianos and synths. Now in my 50’s I’m still playing and going back to that rockin’ piano sound which I get to use in my country rock band Blacktop Rodeo. Anytime I’m asked where did it all begin for me I say it started the first time I saw Jerry Lee Lewis play “Great Balls of Fire.” Thank you for the inspiration and the positive affect it continues to have on my life.
I have loved you since I was 15 I am now 71 Never got the chance to see you in concert or meet you in person I keep hoping someday that will happen. But I am afraid my time is running out You are the best God Bless you and please take care of yourself
.Remember I love you forever/ Wendy Somraty
My brother who passed away sounded like you. He would sit in his chair and sing along with your record. He had talent but was embarrassed to sing in public because walking away people could see he walked with a limp . Thank you so much for your songs. I would love to see you in person but I know I can’t. God bless you
Jerry Lee Lewis!!!!!
Mr Lewis, you are a legend! I grew up in Louisiana…I was a mediocre piano player (my dad is much better) but you have been an inspiration to me my entire life. Thank you!
Jerry you used to run around with my great grandma and her family back in the day (the Stephen’s) and recently I’ve been singing great ball of fire non stop and I’m having a blast I’m getting so into it
I love your music, your passion , your fire you get playing and singing. I wish I could have met you and watched you perform. I maybe younger but I love your music.
I can’t thank you enough for all the music the memories and the style that you were gracious enough to share with the world. As a fellow son of the south (Tupelo MS) You are a true inspiration to all of us younger cats fighting to keep Rock N Roll,County and Western and most importantly the Gospel standards we grew up with in The Church Of Christ. May God continue to keep you and bless you. And I humbly wish that one day I have the good fortune to meet you sir. Take care Killer.
You are such a great entertainer. I have to admit some of your stuff is a little before my time as I was born in 1955. But I love oldies music classic rock ,to the old style country. You sir are amazing . I hope you are doing well through all this mess. Huge fan since like ever. So I am reaching out , due the turmoil all AMERICANS are going through. If you need anything just ask. God Bless you sir

Since hearing you 70 years ago as a child on my shortwave radio I have loved you and your inspired music. I feel you have God moving in you when you really get going. Your music is holy and brings JOY To the whole world. The Bible says MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD. YOURS is the most JOYFUL of all the musicians that have ever been.
A thousand years from now people will be listening to your music and dancing JOYFULLY. Your work is immortal, and YOU WILL BE IMMORTAL. You and your wonderful music will live down through the ages. Your name in the Book Of Life is writ large and full of Love.
