I have a lot of Jerry Lee memories, but my favorite is when he sang happy birthday to me for my 7th birthday in the studio. I was sitting in Phoebe’s lap in a chair, and we were there until after midnight, and at midnight he sang Happy Birthday to me playing his piano. There were many times he made me feel special in the short years my father was his bass player. My name is Jennifer and I am Norman “Butch” Owens daughter. Jerry was always very kind to me, and I have heard lots of stories about the “Killer” but to me he was always kind, and friendly, he was always Jerry Lee. I believe him shooting my Dad was an accident, my Dad has expressed many times that he didn’t do it on purpose. I know up until that they had a good relationship. Jerry Lee was part of the soundtrack to my childhood, and I am grateful for those memories.
My father was your bodyguard early on in your career. Only for a real short time. I found out at his funeral from his friends. I never knew. His name was William Hughey he was from Olive branch Mississippi
Hi Jerry! I was born in Memphis and then we moved to several states ending up in Oregon. My mom and dad passed away about six years ago but I was raised on your awesome music. Good Ol cassette tapes. “Great Balls of Fire!” I still keep your music alive in this household. Keep rocking the country music Jerry!
Dear Jerry,
Me and my son, he is a big fan since he was 11 and now he is 31, are from the Netherlands.
Everyday he plays your music and collect everything, I think he’s your biggest fan from the Netherlands. Dear Jerry, stay strong, safe and healthy we love you a lot.
Love from Vera and Ricardo
From the minute I heard Milkshake Mademoiselle at a young age, I knew I’d stumbled on something that would shape the course of my life. All I can say is “Thank you, Mr Lewis” You really are the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Wishing you the best of health from Shropshire, UK
Praying for you Jerry Lee, been listening to your songs and watching the movies about you

Hi Jerry,
praying for you in Jesus Name. I know you’re not feeling well but Jesus has you and that what counts. You may not remember but you Jimmy and micky run with my dad and mom in Natchez and Ferriday and Vidalia way back right before your first hit record. Sonny was his name mom was patsy . I also sing and preach and have been praying for years for you. I met your dad one day in Washington. MS. he had broke down and I gave him a ride. he introduced himself as pops lol.. Just know people are praying for you. God Bless Jim
I inherited one of your original Sun records from my paternal grandmother back in 1976. I am a piano player, and when I heard Great Balls of Fire, I wanted to play just like you. Unfortunately my piano playing never got close to yours. Just watched the movie Great Balls of Fire tonight for the first time. Now I want to get to playing again. I inherited a baby grand piano from my maternal grandmother. Seems like my grandmothers are egging me on.
On behalf of myself and my deceased mother,
We have always loved listening to your amazing music.
Back in the days, she had a C B handle (CHANTELLY LADY)
I may have mispelled that.
Would love to come visit you if anyway possible.

Rest in Peace Jerry Lee
Thank you for all the years of your GREAT Music
I had the pleasure to meet you and work security for you in the late 70’s in NYC .
Jerry, you inspired me to learn piano way back when, and as a result of your kicking the door down back in the early days, guys like me could walk right through it. Because of your inspiration, I’ve been a piano player my whole life and I’m still kicking’ at 77. God bless you, Killer.
I visited your club in Memphis in 2019 flying out from Denmark. Great house band and I had a chat with your touring bassist. Long Live Rock’n’Roll and Jerry Lee Lewis. Cheers and God bless.
