I was born in ’85, so I’m a young whippersnapper compared to Jerry, but my dad and the great radio stations of KS never left me hanging when it came to the roots of rock and roll as I was growing up.
When I was older I discovered country music, and had a chance to really catch up with Mr. Lewis.
I’m writing here because I’m feeling sentimental tonight after listening to “Who’s Gonna Play This Old Piano”, giggling a bit because the theme reminds me so much of George Jones’ “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes”, but ultimately thinking about how resilient this music is, how it’s always gonna carry on, and how I wish for the best in the future for people really understanding what this kind of art can give you.
Bästa rocken roll kungen på piano. Hur många folkparker har han besökt? Jag tänkte på den gamla Folkparken kvarnberget i Falun Sweden som nu är borta om någon har varit där. Vad kostar en CD?
Great balls of fire
Been a fan for a long time Brother Jerry, ever since my father introduced your songs to me as a small boy. I am praying for you sir to make a speedy recovery and allow the Lord to use you mightily.
JUST WANTED TO TELL MR JERRY THAT I ALSO LOVE HIS MUSIC. I PLAY PIANO (NOTHING LIKE THE KILLER) BUT I LOVE TO PLAY WHAT I CAN. I AM 81 YEARS OLD AND PLAYED BACK IN THE 50’S, HAD MY ON BAND AND WENT TO MANY YOUR SHOWS AND MET YOU MANY TIMES. I TRIED TO LEARN TO PLAY YOUR STYLE BUT NEVER COULD GET IT RIGHT SO I JUST PLAY YOUR SONGS MY WAY. I GOT MARRIED AND WIFE MADE ME STOP PLAYING JOINTS. I CAN’T PLAY THE FAST MUSIC ANYMORE BUT STILL PLAY YOUR SLOW COUNTRY SONGS.. AGAIN, I REALLY ENJOY YOUR MUSIC. DON’T STOP, JUST KEEP PLAYING SLOW AND PRETTY. I ALSO WISH YOU WOULD PUT SOME KARAOKE ON YOU TUBE.
I just watched you on the Super Dave Show and you sang a great rendition of Middle Aged Crazy and more…great performance, Killer. you are always the man!
Just wanted to say I think your music is amazing. Your style and passion is addicting and you can’t help but move to it! My dad always tells everyone that when my mom was pregnant she would play classical music though headphones on her stomach. When she’d fall asleep, dad would change that out for your music. I think you are why he has always liked me playing piano. I didn’t take to it long but he always got joy from that. Thank you for your gift and congrats on getting your right hand back! Stay strong.

Thank you for contributing so much to the world of music and influencing thousands of artists through the years. You’re a true music legend! I grew up in Tennessee listening to you, Johnny Cash, Elvis, and Waylon Jennings. Keep rocking and stay safe!
Thank you so much for your courage, dedication & commitment to your fans throughout the Decades! I cannot say how much you have inspired & influenced me. Thank you for continuing to share your talent with the world. May God Bless you and your family Richly.

I ‘ve been listening to your music since a young boy.I was introduced to you and your music, sometime around 1972,when I was 5 years old by my dad.He used to play your albums all the time or turn the radio up loud whenever one of songs was played.I remember,my mom was an Elvis fan,and I heard Elvis music at a very, very young age around 1year old to be honest. One day dad heard me listening to Elvis music, and he said,”If you want to hear someone just as great, listen to this.” Of course it was Jerry Lee Lewis, and I have been hooked every since.I love how you can take a song, and put a twist on it,too make it sound like it was your song from the start.Your a great entertainer and have made an everlasting mark on the word “Music” forever. No matter the age,”Keep Rocking and Rolling” because life around us will do the same.
Hi Jerry! I’ve loved you since I first heard you in 1963 at the age of 14. You’re one of the greatest of all time. I still listen to your records. Just today i heard “Rainin’ in my heart”. No one can sing and play the piano like you. Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark. Thanks for everything! Stay cool!
Peter.
I am a great fan of one of the biggest and most authentic Rock Stars of all time, Mr, Jerry Lee Lewis!!! KEEP ROCIN’ JERRY!!!!! I Love you and your music!!!!
I remember running into Jerry and his bodyguard at the end of my shift as a chef in a Hotel restaurant. I was approached, and asked if I could do “the killer” a favor! Turned out the limousine driver needed a jump. Goodness gracious, for a second there I thought “what the hell does he want from ME! Best wishes JLL, you rock.
Hi Jerry Lee. I’ve been listening to your music since your first Sun record. My brother and I bought a 45 record of Whole Lotta Shakin Going On and my brother would play it over and over for an hour. Before he passed away, anytime we were together and I would pull out my iPod, he would say “play Whole Lotta Shakin Going On”. Afterwards he would always say, “that’s the best voice you will ever hear”. I agree! Jerry Lee, thanks for all your music and all the memorable concerts I’ve attended. I pray that you keep doing well.
Hello Mr. Lewis, I hope that you are well. I am praying for you . Hope to see you in concert again. There are only two true ROCK IN ROLL legends and that is you and Elvis Presley. I listen to you and Elvis music only. Take Care of yourself. May God Bless you buddy.
I’ve been listening to your music since i’ve been 8 or so when my dad introduced me to your music, ever since then you have been my favorite and i think the greatest rock and roller of all time!! you inspired me to play the piano and i have now been playing for 5 years. your the greatest jerry lee. thank you for everything
I just finished reading your biography by Rick Bragg. He did a great job telling your story. I received “Great Balls of Fire” on a 45 rpm record for Christmas in 1957/58. I saw you on American Bandstand. We go way back, but I have to tell you that it scared me to death to see you banging the piano and throwing the bench like you did (LOL). I had been taught not to bang on the keys. After reading the book, I want you to know I appreciate your dedication to music, and that having grown up in a Pentecostal church myself, I completely understand the condemnation. I believe you know Jesus as your Savior and that’s all that matters. I have prayed for you to have peace and confidence in the work that Jesus did for all of us. We are all sinners saved by grace! I have been enjoying your music on Amazon. There is a lot of it!! Blessings! Nancy
